About Me

Well, hello there future client. I’m Christine Dassow (but you can just call me Christine) and I’ve been in love with being a therapist since middle school age. Yup. you read right. So, once I could fulfill my dream, I’ve never stopped enjoying helping people like you. I also love the ocean and anything beach-themed, so that’s why you see a shell in my logo. The idea of opening up and coming out of your shell, at your speed, is what I want for you to feel in my safe space of therapy.

Education: M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Counselor Education, Mental Health Counseling track- University of Florida, 2002

Licensure Status/Certifications: Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC- #MH 8736), National Certified Counselor (NCC- 79660), ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP), Remo HealthRHYTHMS Drumming Facilitator, and Florida Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Interns

Fun facts: Wonder why I love working with artists? I’m an artist! I’ve always used art for fun and for expression, including drawing, watercolor painting, cross stitching, crocheting, sewing, playing instruments (ukulele now but flute and organ [unusual, right?] in the past), and more.

I’m also an award-winning Women’s Fiction/Chick Lit author. I write stories about my Italian-American heritage including quirky characters, armchair travel, history, and oodles of food. Come on, I’m Italian! Check out my novels here.
